Helping those in the communities in which we live and work has always been a priority for Viterra. We believe that as a leading global food ingredients Company we have an important role to play in building stronger communities. Viterra's community support and charitable giving take a variety of forms. Below are some of our programs and initiatives along with recent examples of how these programs have been used to respond to community and humanitarian needs.

Global Disaster Relief

As Viterra continues to expand its global footprint, the Company is taking an increasingly active role in assisting those affected by natural disasters around the world. In the last 24 months alone, Viterra has made significant contributions to aid the rescue, relief, and reconstruction efforts connected with the Haiti earthquake, Australian flooding, the New Zealand earthquake, and the recent Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Employee Fundraising and Corporate Matching

Every year Viterra employees raise thousands of dollars for charity. Efforts range from individual fundraising endeavors and employee-led team events to support for organized global initiatives. In recent months, Viterra employees raised thousands of dollars for colleagues affected by the New Zealand earthquake, joined together to feed over 1,000 hungry people over the holidays, and made a large donation to a neo-natal intensive care unit. North American Community Support Program

Viterra contributes to positive social outcomes in the North American communities where we have operations through our Community Support Program. Australian Community Fund

Our Company's Australian Community Fund supports a wide range of individual projects that have positive impacts on rural and regional Australian communities. This program targets community initiatives centered on education and training, health, youth development, and community amenity. Since 2006, the Community Fund has contributed more than $500,000 to rural communities. To assist those who were affected by the recent flooding in Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria, Viterra has set aside an additional $75,000 in a Community Fund for Flood Recovery.
